PIXELDUST STUDIOS DESIGNS OPEN FOR NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC'S "EXTREME CIVIL WAR REENACTORS"

For this National Geographic Channel TV special, "Extreme Civil Reenactors," Pixeldust Studios created a show open using 2D animation over a parchment background, transitioning from classic illustrations out of Harper's magazine to live-action footage of modern day battle reenactments. This one hour special follows a handful of the most hard-core Civil War reenactors, who eat, sleep and breathe the gun smoke of history.

PIXELDUST STUDIOS SWEETENS TLC'S LATEST "DC CUPCAKES" SPECIAL

For DC Cupcakes' latest TLC special, Pixeldust Studios showcases the construction process behind Sophie & Katherine's culinary creations with 2D animated lines that build their concoctions from the ground up. In the one-hour special airing on May 11th at 10/9c, Sophie and Katherine have to juggle the construction of their mother's 60th birthday cake while completing eight wedding cake orders for their customers.

PIXELDUST STUDIOS HELPS REWRITE AVIATION HISTORY IN "CONFEDERATE FLYING MACHINE"

Pixeldust Studios created the show open for the National Geographic Explorer special "Confederate Flying Machine", which premieres May 10th at 8pm on the National Geographic Channel. In this one-hour TV special, Explorer unravels the story of Civil War aviation by examining recently uncovered documents from the 1860's proving that long before the Wright Brothers flew at Kitty Hawk, desperate inventors and engineers imagined steam-powered flying machines to to help determine the outcome of the war.

PIXELDUST STUDIOS CREATES GRAPHICS FOR THE NEW WEATHER CHANNEL SERIES "IRON MEN"

For the new Weather Channel series "Iron Men," which premieres Tuesday, May 8th at 9/8c, Pixeldust Studios created the show open as well as the in-show graphics for this self contained docu-series chronicling one of the most dangerous occupations in the world: Ironworking. The series follows various groups of ironworkers from the world's most respected ironworking union – New York's Local 40 – on a multitude of projects – a skyscraper, a bridge, a stadium, a subway, etc. Every day, each member puts his life in the hands of his co-workers, and that creates an unbreakable bond – but also high stakes and natural tension.

Dianna Costello Joins Pixeldust Studios As Executive Producer

BETHESDA, MD -- Pixeldust Studios, a multi-award winning digital animation and visual design studio, has brought Academy Award-nominated producer and business/marketing executive Dianna Costello onboard as its Executive Producer. Ricardo Andrade, President/Creative Director for Pixeldust Studios made the announcement. The addition of Costello will further extend Pixeldust Studios’ efforts to develop creative and business partnerships in the production of non-fiction entertainment for broadcast and cable TV networks, museums, corporations, government agencies and educational institutions. She will oversee marketing and development efforts and will work to expand Pixeldust’s core business of providing award-winning graphics packages, show opens, animations, and visual effects for a variety of broadcast television and cable network programs, television specials and series.

PIXELDUST STUDIOS VISUALIZES THE MYSTERIES OF THE UNIVERSE FOR UPCOMING PBS NOVA SERIES THE FABRIC OF THE COSMOS

Pixeldust Studios produced over one thousand ground-breaking animation and visual effects that will be featured in the four-part NOVA television series, The Fabric of the Cosmos. Based on the best-selling book by author Brian Greene (The Elegant Universe), The Fabric of the Cosmos will air on PBS for four consecutive Wednesdays beginning November 2nd.
