Pixeldust studios wins two 2022 Emmy awards

Pixeldust Studios has won two Emmys this award season, one for Public service Announcement and another for Graphic Design.

Bethesda, MD – June 6, 2022

Pixeldust Studios is proud to announce it has been awarded two 2022 Emmy wins in the categories of Public Service Announcement and Graphic Arts by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This is Pixeldust’s 16th and 17th Emmy, along with 43 nominations since we opened our doors 18 years ago. We attribute these successes to an incredibly talented team dedicated to the art of storytelling as well as our partners and clients whom we are privileged to work with. A special shout out to our Creative Director Ricardo Andrade, Art Director Manuel Messerli, Editor Mark Andrade, and our clients at August Lang & Husak and Rocket Media.

Pixeldust’s production of Back to Normal took the PSA to win as part of a campaign for Boys Town – a nonprofit dedicated to improving healthcare for America’s youth and their families. To help empower young adults fighting depression, Pixeldust collaborated with Creative Director and Principal Chuck Husak from August Lang & Husak to create a storyline that follows a relatable teenage girl as she explores what “normal” means and the self-discovery journey that keeps her pushing forward.

Our second win comes from the animated intro China 2025 – Bad Fortune, which Pixeldust worked on in collaboration with Rocket Media Group for the FBI’s film Made in Beijing: The Plan for Global Market Domination. The film explores the threat to the intellectual properties of American firms by the Chinese government. Pixeldust’s graphics and visualizations fly the viewer through a fifty-year illustrated timeline with the most relevant events presented in 2.5D and 3D animation. This sequence helps explain the complex commercial and diplomatic relations between The United States and the People’s Republic of China.
