Rocket Media, a long term Pixeldust production partner, invited Pixeldust to collaborate in the creation of visual effects and the post-production of the FBI film The Nevernight Connection. The film follows an ex-government employee who was recruited by Chinese intelligence through social media, and ultimately provided sensitive material. Pixeldust’s contributions to the film included editing, color correction, sound design, visual effects, and motion design.

UNA ESTÉTICA PARA LA PELÍCULA

Pixeldust used monitors with information-crowded windows and fast searching of databases for the hacker scene. The film has a hint of suspense and the idea of a looming threat when a person divulges classified materials. The color grading, motion graphics, and sound effects helped create a suspenseful mood for the film.

DANDO PISTAS CON EL USO DEL COLOR

Since the film could be not be shot in international locations, Pixeldust used post-production techniques to give subtle hints of a change of country by using color grading. The scenes in America were graded to have cooler shadows, while the scenes set in China had a hint of redness in their shadows.

GRÁFICOS EN MOVIMIENTO QUE APOYAN EL TONO

Pixeldust created all the animation and motion graphics that appear on user interfaces, such as mobile phones, televisions, and computers. In addition, Pixeldust designed and animated the title sequence and the credits.
