ANDY HENCKEN

LEAD 3D ANIMATOR
 

Born and raised in Baltimore, Andy is a Political Science graduate of Clemson University. He later became certified in animation at Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts, and received a certificate in advanced studies in character animation from Animation Mentor.  Andy is experienced in all aspects of the 3D pipeline, including rigging, animation, rendering, and compositing, and has extended his toolkit to include augmented and virtual reality content creation.

Andy plays a vital role in overseeing 3D character productions at Pixeldust, with a long history of bringing people and animals to life through animation. He is an expert in industry leading software ranging from Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, The Foundry’s Nuke, and Adobe After Effects. Andy has been nominated for two Emmy Awards, and received an Emmy in 2016 for the PBS show “National Mall: America’s Front Yard”. In his spare time, Andy enjoys reading, mountain biking, and exploring VR experiences.
