One of Pixeldust’s most impactful techniques is the use of camera mapping. A dynamic technique that brings still imagery to life by breaking it into multiple layers, camera mapping builds what feels like a virtual diorama. Pixeldust adds an increased sense of depth and motion to this pseudo-3D effect by adding animated environmental layers like dirt and smoke. The team has used this technique in storytelling using archival photographs, historical paintings, and modern photography.
